That is what I like about this forum..everyone is free to choose what fits their lifestyle and all are right about it. I guess I like all the ideas behind your decisions, personal preferences. Very enlightening.   .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

You're absolutely right, Pam.

Nobody admonishes another member for the choices he (or she):P :P makes.
Whether it be the food they like, the way they prepare it, or what they use to prepare it.
It is all about sharing information, and ideas.

I can tell you I don't like a dish you prepared without telling you that you are wrong for preparing it.
You can tell me you prefer a certain cooking appliance to the one I use without telling me I am an idiot for preferring mine.
If we all preferred vanilla it would be a very boring world.
If everyone of us used the same grill  & prepared everything the same way,we wouldn't have anything to talk about.

I know some families that could take some lessons from us.

RG I rotate my pies 1/4 turn every 30 seconds. I let the pie sit for 1 minute to set before starting the rotaion. A thin crust will get done in like 4 minutes. You get nice even browning this way.

The stone takes a little longer to warm up then the baking steel but has better heat retention. The more you cook on it the better your results will be.

Honestly my first pies did not fare that well.

Tom, your wife sounds like mine. Every time I buy a grill/smoker that's the first thing she asks me. "Where ya gonna put it?" she says, lol. I magically always find a spot ;)

Re arranged and found a spot, all she said was next one you'll have to hang from the ceiling!  Hmmm next one huh,  sounds like a plan to me!  :D

As LostArrow suggested to RG, go to Pizzamaking.com. Plenty of recipes and info there.
Lots of nice people to give you all the help you need.
A simple all purpose pizza dough is best to start with, and then experiment with other formulas until you find the ones that you really like.
I have about 4 or 5 that I use on a regular basis.

Yup, a bad pizza sometimes turns into a great calzone.
