Next "BIG" project at the "Bomm-A-Rosa"
« Reply #-1 on: April 28, 2017, 10:46:41 AM »
Our next BIG project started two weeks ago and were getting close to being done.

The back deck was in bad shape and few years back I painted it with deck paint but it just didn't last :(  so I bit the bit bullet and bought Trex decking to rebuild it (OUCH on the $$$$$$) but it will last forever and I wont be around when or if it ever needs replacing

Here are a few starting shots and I'll update as we go.  A big thanks to my brother in law J.T for all his help, because without him it would have been to $$$ for me to undertake much less try to do it on my own with bad knees and back  ??? ??? ???

I just love me a brick house

Great call on the Trex Tommy.  Cry once I say and deck repairs/replacements just get more costly every year.

Lookin good!   Trex is good stuff, just gotta watch your spacing because it does expand and contact quite a bit but I'm sure you're aware. When I did mine I used the blind screw jig from Kreg worked pretty cool.

I love my Timber Tech deck. Power wash it every year and that is it. I have neighbors who fight their wood decks every year. Cry once

Deck gonna look fantastic! We had a Trex deck wrapped around a swimming pool at a previous home. Looked sharp!

Great choice TMB.  I converted my wooden deck to a vinyl deck a few years back.  Best decision I ever made.  Initial cost is expensive but in the long run well worth it.
