A "BIG" thanks to Old Dave!
« Reply #-1 on: May 17, 2017, 09:00:17 AM »
A few weeks back Old Dave told me about carbquick for low carb diets.   This stuff is really good you just have to play with it to make the food you like.   Here are Gravy and Biscuits I made with it.

It's not Pam's gravy but hey it's good

One thing I have found while using this mix is it can be grainy if you don't give the ingredients time to soak up the liquid you using weather it's biscuits, gravy or pan cakes you have to give about 5 min's extra time to set.

Other than that this stuff to me is worth the few extra $'s it cost.  This box was 13.95 +tax  at a store in Ft Payne Al..

For those who can't find it locally for a decent price, it's $11.99 a box at Netrition.com with free shipping on a $99 and up purchase and flat rate of $6.99 shipping on anything else.  No sales tax outside of New York and Maryland. So if you are stocking up or getting other items, this is a great source.  I have used them before and never had any issues with product quality or order processing.  Before you could find Atkins bars in the grocery stores and Sam's Club, I used to order them in bulk for myself and a co-worker from there. Wow that was a while back as we were doing the Atkins diet back before Robert Atkins died.  I need to get back on the low carb diet again myself.

Also, Tommy what are you using for sweeteners in coffee, etc...?
