Sunday Smoked Turkey
« Reply #-1 on: July 16, 2017, 05:09:10 PM »
After seeing Smoker Pete's post about smoked turkey, I got motivated to do one.10 pound turkey was seasoned with Meat
Church BBQ’s Holy Gospel rub and smoked at 200 degrees for 3 hours in the Grid Iron pellet grill using Lumberjack MHC. I
then kicked the grill up to 325 to finish. Total cook time, including smoke mode, was 4 hours.

Plated with some cheesy mashed potatoes with bacon!

Very nice change from my regular beef, chicken and pork. Will be doing this again soon!

Thanksgiving in July, turkey is always good, especially smoked.  Looks great.

Thanks Art! Here is the link to the Meat Church rubs: https://www.meatchurch.com/
I haven't found a rub that they have that I don't like.
