Dennis' Seasoned and Grilled Potato Rounds

Seasoned and Grilled Potato Rounds
Not only is February Super Bowl Month, it’s also National Potato Month. MAK Service Tech Dennis Ogg has come up with an easy to prepare side dish that you can enjoy during “The Big Game”. It’s his Seasoned & Grilled Potato Rounds:
Serves: Approx. 4 people.
Approx. Prep and cooking time: 60-90 minutes

Ingredients:
3-5 potatoes (depending on size), cut into 1/8 inch thick rounds, skin on
1 stick of unsalted butter or Garlic Spread
3 Tbsp. Seasoned Salt
3 Tbsp. Lemon Pepper
Optional: Substitute MAK Sweet & Mesquite Rub for above seasonings
Optional: Shredded cheese—any variety
Vegetable spray
1-2 pie pans or 9x12 tempered casserole dish
Aluminum foil

Preparation:
Wash the potatoes and towel pat dry. Next, slice each potato into 1/8th inch rounds. In a bowl, mix the seasoning ingredients together. Spray the pie pan(s) or casserole dish with vegetable spray. Begin by placing a layer of potatoes into the pie pan or casserole dish, sprinkle with seasoning mix. Continue to add layers until it almost comes to the top of the pan or dish. Next, slice butter and place over the top layer of the potatoes. (Or sprinkle cheese on top of potatoes and then add butter or Garlic Spread). Cover pan or dish with aluminum foil.

Cooking:
Start your MAK and adjust temperature to 350F. (For grills with the FlameZone® accessory, leave FZ pan covered). Allow grill to come up to temperature. Place pan or dish inside grill and cook for approximately 60 minutes, or until potatoes are fork tender. Remove pan from the grill. Remove the foil and allow potatoes to cool for (10) ten minutes before serving.

And you nuke for how long?
In the air fryer for how long?

I like this recipe, but I don't have a pelletizer. Maybe I can try it out in the Weber.

Jaxon, all of our recipes are for cooking on a pellet grill. Specifically a MAK. No nuking needed. The amount of time the potatoes are in the grill, they should be nice and tender when pulled out of the cooking chamber.  Personally, I don't use an air fryer, so not sure what the cooking time would be in that device.

Jaxon..it depends on teh size of the potatoes cause there are no 2 alike..jsut till done then cut in half and scoop out..then I put them in the air fryer for 4 minutes..then added cheddar cheese and bacon bits and cooked for 3 minutes to melt the cheese. Then I added sour cream and chives, can add guac or pico de mio.  .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

When I got my very first Microwave many many years ago, the very best invention man ever came up with I read the instructions......YES I DID. For potatoes in the microwave wrap them in paper towels to hold in the moisture. Microwave for about 6 minute per potato. Seemed to work just great. Your mileage may vary :)

I have heard bad things about putting paper in the microwave..I just wash mine with a brush and then rub a lil oil on them..no poking holes and nuke'm.  .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.
