Cigars!!??
« Reply #-1 on: March 06, 2014, 12:07:45 PM »
So I do enjoy a GOOD cigar from time to time... How many of you do and what do you like??
I am partial to a small ring gauge, 24-34 and my favs are:
Cohiba Panetelas 4.5" x 26 easy draw and light-medium flavor, I smoke these about 2/3 then toss.
Montecristo Especial No. 2 about 6" x 38  Nice medium leather front with a pretty smooth finish.
Partagas Serie D No. 4,  4 7/8 x 50 Great flavor, medium body for a Partaga and the largest I will smoke.

These are all true Cubans.
Nutin better then Hard Wood!

I use to be a manager of a cigar shop for 4 years.  Love Davidoff cigars.  42 to 50 ring gauge for me.

I enjoy a good cigar now and then. Mostly when camping with the guys or lately while a long smoke is going on with one of the grills. Gotta be outside to thoroughly enjoy the stogie tho. I prefer 50 ring size in a maduro wrapper from Gurkha, Padron, or La Gloria, but anytime someone wants to give me a cigar well that's a good one too!

I enjoy a good cigar on very rare occasions. Had some good Cubans in Canada. I am not on the high end for cigars normally, I buy some little Macanudo Ascots from JR Cigars and hit 2 or 3 a week while reading LTBBQ and having a cold beer.

I got into cigars 20 odd years ago when they started to get trendy. I was really into it. But the trendiness also made the prices go out of this world. So haven't had one in a while. I'm with Sparky, like the 50 ring gauge.

Years ago I was a fan of the Cuban Cohiba Brand. Now that I'm a quitter I dare not try one :(

I have traveled Internationally for a long time and have always had access to Cubans.  My all time favorite is the Montecristo No. 2 and also enjoy the smoothness of the Romeo Jullieta.  I always check the walk-in humidors as I go through duty free and have found some good inexpensive Cubans like the Quintero and Jose Pedro.  My favorite non-Cubans are Padrons and Rocky Patels from DR.

I enjoy sitting on the deck with a good cigar, some straight up Single-Malt, and my wife who loves the smell of cigars while the Bradley is rolling smoke on some ribs.

I'm a fan of acid cigars, foundry cigars, and Romeo and Juliets.  50 ring gauge or larger.  Prefer a mild to medium cigar because I'm typically having a beer with my stogie.  Come on spring!  I wanna lounge on the deck with some perfect mix smokin' while I'm enjoying a stogie!

Lately my favorites have been Brickhouse Mighty Might 6X60 Maduro and the Diesel 6X60.
Since we have moved WAY south from MN, able to enjoy a stick, outside, year round.

I've always shopped on-line at either Cigars Int or Famous Smoke. No outrageous cig tax. Never had a problem with either one.

Add to the list of reasons I dislike Canadians.  Just kidding.  Never had a bona fide Cuban.  Someday.

Smuggled some Cubans in from Jamaica many years ago... illegal in the U.S.

Wife enjoys one after a big meal.

Don't know if she can bring any back from Mexico this week.
