Ribeye Steak on the Jumbo Joe with the SnS Basket
« Reply #-1 on: June 06, 2017, 07:18:41 PM »
This was one of the ribeye’s that I picked up last month from Sam’s.  It is large and just enough for the two of us. The only
thing I didn’t like about this steak was it was a little thicker on one half which caused the thinner side to get a bit overcooked.
But, it didn’t affect the flavor at all.

Just flipped for the second 1 minute run on the cold grate.

Steak is done!

Cut in half! Nice and juicy with the right amount of doneness for us.

My plate with some roasted red potatoes. Potatoes were tossed in olive oil, balsamic vinegar and some Italian seasoning.

The cold grate method is the bomb! Beats the heck out of reverse searing!

Steak and potatoes.  Perfectly done.  Just the way we like them around my household.  Nice job, Mike!

There's only one problem with that steak, Mike . . . . . it too small to support my girth and let anyone else have even a taste of it ! ! !
