Have a couple of modifications to make on my new cooker and will then get it seasoned and try to get something cooked before the weekend.

Here is a "teaser" picture of my new stainless steel unit.

What a coincidence.  I just learned about Hasty Bake recently and have been reading quite a bit about them as well as watching Youtube videos on some cooks.  I really like the history of this grill.  I wouldn't mind finding a used one to try out.  I will be looking forward to seeing yours in action.

For those that have them, how does it compare to some of the other grills/smokers out there?

Good Morning Wayne,

I have quite a bit of information on my site on the Hasty-Bake cookers and you can find it here:

http://olddavespo-farm.blogspot.com/search/label/Hasty%20Bake%20%2F%20Classic%20Cooker

I have 16 articles at the above site with pictures, methods, and info...

I own several good charcoal cookers and I think my Hasty-Bake Gourmet is the finest charcoal cooker out there. It is also the most expensive charcoal cooker I own.

For more information on these cookers, the forum website is about dead so it is useless. The best place to go for information with pictures is on Facebook. It is called "Hasty-Bake Grill Community" as this is where it is happening with the HB cookers. There is usually some used cookers listed on this site as well...it is where I found my new model Ranger at a big discount.

If you have any questions, just ask and I will try to answer or tell you where to get the answer.
