Nice cook Tommy!  To me that's the perfect amount of bark. I like seeing those smokers lined up like that; it reminds me of that Eagles song "Pretty Maids All in a Row." :)

Just remember a 20lb propane tank can only be filled legally to 80% or 16lbs. Each pound of propane has 22,000 btu of heat output. So a legally filled propane tank will deliver 352,000 btus of heat output.

4.7 gallons of propane = 430, 270 total BTUs

I believe the SRG on high is around 18,000 BTU an hour.

That is about 24 hours of gas on one tank.

Now Tommy how much you paying for a filled tank?

Take that dollar amount and divide it by 24 to get your hourly cost.

Then times that dollar amount by the hours of the cook time for the butt.

Now you got your cost per cook.
I pay 14.50 to have a 20 lb cyl filled

I cook mostly on low with my SRG's so you can add a lot more time with a 20 lb tank

As for $$$$ per cook ?  I don't really think about it cause I love my cookers and they are fun to cook on.  I gave up drinking years ago :) , gave up my bike :( so this is my stress release so $$$$$ does not mean that much to me

I was told there would be no math......
