If you have never tried Chicken

You need to try read and try Mr. Hubs post. It is not hard and has Outstanding results.

Story, I have tried chicken before with poor results to say the least. We had some chickens in the freezer and told the wife I would like to Beer Can one. She said Ok and me being me I am off to the races and rolling lots of ideas in my little head on what and how I am going to do it.

I read Mr. Hubs repository for all things related/chicken several times. Told the wife that I’m going to do the chicken on the smoker. She freaked out and begged me not to do it on the smoker (see notes very poor results above). We were having company over and she did not want have to order pizza.

I did this one on the chicken on the gasser and had a heck of a time getting the temp down to a reasonable level to start.
One thing I would do different next time is bring up the temp at the end to crisp up the skin at the end.

Brine, didn't show the bird covered in ice.

Injection

Injected and Rubbed

On the gasser

Get in my belly

Sorry no plate :(

Overall results, company said best chicken I ever had.
Thank You very much Mr. Hub. ;D

Did you use the beer can or just the tray under it?

I also used the beer but not necessary.

Your chicken looks great!  Next time set your MAK to 325-350F and try them in there.  You should still get a hint of the wood flavor.
