When Tim called me to tell me about a new forum he was starting, I couldn't wait to join and took the plunge on November 25, 2011. That made me member #14. I am proud to announce today that I am the first person to make it to 1000 posts.....what???.....wait just a minute......somebody is calling............Oh, hi Tim........huh-huh........huh-huh.....huh-huh........OK, bye..................Well, according to new information just provided, I am proud to announce that I am now officially the last person to get to 1000 posts. Everybody else has 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and even 8,000 posts. As it turns out, even Jaxon beat me by 207 posts.

I am so happy to be a part of my LTBBQ family. It has been almost 4 years and I have learned so much and gained so many friends from this forum. I value each and every one of you as friends. I have met probably a third of y'all and will continue to try to meet up with as many as possible. I'm not sure that there is a forum that has as much interaction with the members as this one. There are mini Gatherings happening all the time where members meet up for good conversation and good food. I can't wait to get to the 4th Annual Fall Gathering to meet all my old friends and make new friends that will last a lifetime.

Thank you for letting me participate in this forum. I am very grateful for all the information about outdoor cooking that y'all provide on a daily basis and I am grateful for this being the best forum on the interweb. And I am grateful for all the people who work hard to make this forum run so smoothly. Thanks everybody.

Here's a blast from the past...
At the first Gathering, in 2011, we gave a prize to the person who traveled the longest distance to attend.  That prize went to Don.

I don't know what the prize will be this year, but we'll have some real contenders goin' for it.
