A Yankee gone south...
« Reply #-1 on: November 17, 2017, 01:48:35 PM »
Hi all! I'm juste, till recently a Pittsburger (PA), since moved to the lovely warm state of Alabama! On a quest to find good "Q", anywhere I can! Tend to veer towards spicy cuisine, but not adverse to much anything...I enjoy, smoking/curing and BBQing, and my wife and friends are partial to my offerings ( makes me feel good!). Hope we have some fun here...I'm always ready to learn new stuff!

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh (until my mid 20s), then I lived about 15 years just south of Meadville, PA.  Moved to DFW 6 1/2 years ago.  Welcome to warm weather and no winter.

Welcome from South of Montgomery, AL
I too am from the great white North, Cincinnati area.  I woke up one morning scraping windows, shoveling snow, fell on my a$$.
At the wise old age of 50 had enough and took a voluntary transfer to a small sleepy farm town in Al.  My only regret is that I didn't do it 20 years sooner.  Been here 12 years now and have never missed the subzero temps with the wind chill.
Welcome to the forum and welcome to the sunny South.
Sometimes you have to go in a circle to reach your destination.

Welcome from all of us here in middle Georgia...

We are only a couple of hours from the Alabama line - right in the middle of GA.  If you have time, come on over and we'll cook together.
