Blooming Onion

First attempt at a blooming onion in the Cuisinart toaster over/air fryer.  egg wash/seasoned flour and repeat.  Made the copycat Outback Steakhouse dipping sauce.

Do you do these often?
Does it turn out better than those I've seen on YouTube?

Jaxon..I don't do it often but it was the 1st thing I made in my air fryer..it was good took about 15 minutes. I saved about 1700 calories vs the fried one..I loved it..now I do big chunks, cut an into in 1/4's and do it that way..just as good...☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

So...you don't have to cut into skinny little "petals", eh?  I may be able to handle that.
Thanx for the tip.

Could you share the dipping sauce recipe?

This is the one we use which actually came from a friend of ours that used to work at a Lone Star Steakhouse.  Similar to Outbacks, but I think Outbacks may have a dash of Worcestershire and a hint of oregano.

1/3 cup mayo
2 Tablespoons sour cream
2 Tablespoons creamy horseradish sauce
1 Tablespoon ketchup
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt.
Sometimes you have to go in a circle to reach your destination.
