Great price on Vac Sealer Bags

If, like me, you have a regular vacuum sealer and don't have a budget for a chamber sealer, then you might be interested in this.

Regular vacuum sealer bags can get pricey (75¢ - 85¢ per bag). To keep costs down we'd been using mainly rolls, but that requires sealing two edges which translates to extra work, not to mention wear & tear on the sealer.

I was pricing chamber sealers to see if I could justify the cost when I stumbled across regular vac sealer bags made by Weston in bulk at very good prices.

At less than 20¢ per bag, you bet I ordered some (two sizes - 8" x 10" & 6" X 10")! :)

If you don't have a sealer and can afford a chamber sealer, that's probably the way to go. But this offers a less expensive option for anyone with a regular sealer.

I bought the Cabela's CG-15 several years ago when it happened to be on sale and was offered with free shipping.  I believe it is the Cabela's version of the Weston 2200/2300 (?).  I have been using it a lot more than I thought I would.  If my memory hasn't totally failed me, I believe it was about $400 delivered.  Since it is so easy to use, I now look for bulk buy deals (i.e., whole or cut-up chicken parts, whole beef tenderloin that I cut my own steaks from, or anything that I can re-package for just my wife and I for dinners.  Hope this helps.
