Hello everyone!  I am pleased to be part of the community.  I found this form while exhaustively researching which pellet grill would be best for me.  I have found this forum to provide great insight.  I look forward to my association here and hope to contribute something meaningful.  First I just need to purchase that grill.
Thanks,
jmuir

Welcome to the forum from Alabama.   I own a Rec Tec and love it.  If $$$$ is not an issue go with MAK but for the price the Rec Tec hard to beat

There are lots of pellet cookers to choose from so take your time and choose wisely.  Also remember that it is easy to cook small batches on a large cooker but virtually impossible to cook a large batch on a small one so remember size matters.  High quality American made cookers (MAK, Memphis, FE, etc.) cost a bit more than imports, but are made of sterner stuff, too.  Let us know what you're thinking and don't be bashful about asking questions.

Welcome, from NE Ohio!

To add to what Hub mentioned; when comparing the grill size, don't just look at the base sq. inches, as that can be a real fooler.  Consider the shape of the lid as well; how much head room will you have,  does the lid design allow for a second tier rack, etc.  It makes a huge difference on what you can do and how much food will fit.

If you have the budget, take a serious look at MAK Grills.  We've been a happy MAK owners since 2011.  With their new FlameZone design, they are truly an all-in-one smoker/grill, and with a full upper rack they hold a lot of food (858 total sq. in cooking surface).

If budget is tight, Rec Tec is a fine cooker.

Welcome from a pellet grill owner in Northern Illinois.  Like the others have said, if you can afford it, buy a MAK.  You will not be disappointed.
