We don't have a competition section here but KCBS members may understand this . . .

I don't "do pictures" well or often enough but I think if you click on the image you'll get the picture.  I hate digital stuff.

Gordan, I don't see any picture buddy.

I guess all the pictures I've posted for years are now held hostage by Photobucket.  In the grand scheme of things they aren't worth it.  Unless somebody knows how to fix this fiasco I'll just delete the post.  There's got to be an easier and better way to get pictures than these multi-level, multi-party linking hoo-hahs.  It took me an hour just to get it out of my cell phone!

1. Make sure that you can reduce photos to a max. of 512K in size.
2. I recommend a cheap program call Sizerox . It is a dedicated re-sizer, it is simple to use, has good e-mail support, and offers a lot of useful features.
3.Create a file on your Desktop for Reduced Photos that you want to use
4.When you are on LTBBQ, and click on Post Reply - or Start a New Thread - you will notice below the box that you type text - there is a line that says " Attachments and other options". Click on it.
5. When it opens, look at the top of that page ( I am giving you instructions for Mac - PC may differ slightly here...) and there will be a clickable bar where all o the locations on your computer are available. You want to look for Desktop.
6.When you click on Desktop - all of the files that you have located on your desktop will be available. Look for the Reduced Photos file you created, and click on it.
7. When it opens, you will see the photos files. If your preferences are set up to display as "thumbnails" - you will see miniatures of your photos.
8.Click on the one you want - it will populate into the Attach box - which is below the Attachments and other options. You will the the symbol for a photo, and the file number there.

Anything else that I can help with - please let me know!

Welcome!

And...I am more than a little embarrassed to admit - that, sometimes I am a little slow to recognize that the solution to most problems...is just to spend more money.... :D :D :D :D :D.
The whole photo hosting/posting thing is FAR too complex for many of us ( yes - ME TOO!!!) and it just seemed that this is an area that may bee keeping folks from enjoying LTBBQ to the fullest. SO - ....it should be fixed now.

No, we are going to see what our bandwidth can handle. If the software begins to not work as well...pages slowdown, or we make smoke come out of any servers that handle LTBBQ...then we may have to "prune" some photos.
And - I still believe that it is best to have a 3rd party location for photos that you feel are important enough that you would really hate to see them go away.

But the intent is to make posting photos easier for everyday use. We recognize that photo posting is a real pain for some folks. So, just trying to make it easier.
