Beef shank and tri-tip
« Reply #-1 on: July 30, 2017, 04:36:52 PM »
I haven't seen a beef shank in the super market until yesterday. Decided to give it a try at $5. Just salt, pepper and cayenne on both. Just put the shank on and will put the tri-tip on in a bit.

Finished product. Went a little over on the tri-tip but still tender. Then paired with some pasta salad and homemade sangria

I use shanks all the time to season my Gravy (S. Philly for Spaghetti Sauce).  Never thought of doing them on the grill.  That looks really good.

Food looks good.  Never seen a beef shank before around here.  I'd wrap that sucker in bacon.
