Sprecher is a good old Wisconsin brewery...I have had theirs - and thought it was very good too.

 The Old Town is really good. But wow is it sweet! Kerry and I share them do to the sweetness. But its a great treat and almost like desert.

We tried the Sprecher the other night.  This is more what I expected hard root beer to taste like. Not as sweet and a little more beer-y...
 I like the Ole Town better even though it is much sweeter.
It makes a mean Root Beer Float!

State Softball Tournament in Mankato last weekend. Stopped at "The Largest Candy Store in Minnesota" on the way down. They have all the old time candies as well as an incredible selection of soda pops. I found a bottle of Dogs and Suds. I'm saving it for this weekend...

Also picked up some Sprecher root beer and cream soda.

Looking forward to the weekend!

OK,I tried it tonight,and will do so going forward,I liked it.And agree,this should make a killer root bear float.Tasted like the RB my dad made,with a slight alcohol taste.I liked it.Easy to slug down too.

Mrs says she loves it,doesnt taste bitter and surprised it actually has alcohol as she doesnt taste it.She liked it A LOT.

So for thanksgiving this year,desert will be cranberried cheesecake and root beer vanilla floats.

Thanks for the heads up,never would have tried otherwise.  8)

Henry Weinhard's makes a great root beer!

Weinhard is my ex-wife's maiden name...( "whine-hard"..... ::) ??? 8) )

Let me guess. She didn't want to give up the maiden name reputation so she hyphenated  ;D
