Now that was pointed out the Cabela's Cook Air in on sale again, a question

I had to returned the first one I order because it stop working during initial run.

Now with the final cost I am thinking about ordering another one:

I tried Rutland Safe Lite Fire Starter Squares during the first burn in and according to my bride they stunk like burning plastic so as we know that is out. 

Could be I bought the wrong ones.

Well if you watch my videos you'll see I use a torch, has wood chips going in about 30- 60 seconds nothing else required.  Works every time,

They are wax based but non-toxic. You were probably smelling the wax. I have been using them with no issues. I break a square in half and light each smaller piece in with wood chunks. I used a torch with wood chips before the Rutland starters. The Rutland starters get the chunks going just fine.

The Cook-Air fire gets so hot after a few minutes they burn up quickly.

I must have bought the wrong ones because the ones I have emit a black smoke when first lit and have a strong order until burned out.

I seen Tom's video with the torch and tried it last time. It lit fast with a small bit of wood chips in the bottom and chunks on top and fan off until the fire started No smell no fuss.

Use torch with the fan set at 1, once fire starts then I bump it up to 2-3 before adding bigger chunks
