Hello to my friends at LTBBQ!  I'm Home!  Amazing, I flat-lined on Saturday and home on Tuesday!
Once again I want to thank each and every one of you good folks for your prayers (they were answered), your kind words, and your friendship!  The immediate road ahead should be challenging with all the lifestyle changes, but in time hopefully it will become second nature. Thanks much!

And to my brother Sparky, we will make that disc-golf date, I promise!

Gene, so happy your home and feeling better

Yes prayers were answered for sure.  Life style change its not that bad, for the past month or so I have completely changed the way I cook and eat and I'm down 24 lbs so far

Just do what's right because I don't like when "Family"  goes down like that

Peace to you my friend,

Like Hub a like of us old guys who have live the good life to good have gone though.
So as smokeasaurus said"life-style change over a 6 foot deep hole any day of the week"
That being said I would not change any part of my previous life style if I had to do it again.

Bottom line Gene you will, as most of old guys. continue to enjoy life fine even a life style change. :)

PS. Sweetie are glad you are doing better.

The words of the old church hymn come to mind.

"Praise God from whom all blessings flow.. "

We're thankful for your recovery, sir.

Good evening!
My cardiologist has me on a low fat-low sodium diet. Variety is important, and until it becomes second nature, everything must be measured/weighed, and assessed. Also, until my heart heals....sodium is the devil! Too much sodium will fill my damaged heart with water and diminish a full recovery. So....Mrs H is in charge and I must say doing a great job.
Dinner tonight was a garlicky sockeye salmon, garlic and evoo asparagus and apricot brown rice. And believe it or not, this plate is 521 cals, 167 mg sodium, and 1.4 gr saturated fat, including 8 oz skim milk!  Dieting always sounds bad but once you figure out your needs, you can make it work in a good way!

Gene that plate looks great! Doesn't look like diet food to me.

I will have an extra piece of bacon in your honor this weekend :P

We are all glad your home and doing well

I'll second that!  I would ask for a plate but I don't want to steal your diet food
