Irma in Orlando
« Reply #-1 on: September 11, 2017, 07:18:17 PM »
Praising God we made it through fine here in Orlando.  Our neighborhood never lost power but the majority of our neighbors have substantial roof damage.  We faired amazingly with no power outage or roof damage.  Too many of my friends and colleagues are dealing with an intense aftermath of cleanup and losses.  Throwing wings on the grill now and enjoying a nice cold beer before having to return to work.

I'm down in Boynton Beach in Palm Beach County, thankfully I made it through as well with no power loss. The only damage was I found my mailbox down the street and Irma dumped about 1000 frogs in my backyard  ??? That storm was some scary shit

I am so thankful that all of you escaped the dangers mostly unscathed. Jaxon texted me that he is safe, but he lost power for what he thinks will be 1 or 2 days. I hope his freezer can stay cold enough because he has it loaded with BBQ gold.

Kona, if I wanted to send you a letter, what is your mailbox's new address?  :D

Glad to hear y'all are okay.  I thought Orlando was hit hard.
I also thought we would skate by - NOT!  Here in middle Georgia, hundreds are still without power.  Many trees down, but not a lot of damage to homes.
Our power (current) was out for 35 hours, but temps stayed in the 60s so we didn't miss the AC.
Many prayers for those who have lost so much.

I'm glad to hear you faired well. Maybe we won't have any more this year... The clean up is always a huge pain and I feel for those that did not fair so well.
All of the shelters here were full of folks from south florida and we are blessed she didn't decide to swing over this way.
