Burgers on the old reliable
« Reply #-1 on: October 08, 2017, 01:44:00 PM »
I don't give the gasser a whole lot of love but it still is a great cooker. It's convenient as all get out and still makes tasty food! I made some 1/3# burgers for lunch for my wife and my boy. I took some wright brand applewood bacon and cooked it up and then took the burgers down to the grill, got it nice and hot and slapped the meat on there, seasoned with some S&P and kissed by flare ups.

I buttered some challah burger buns and toasted them on the grill. When the burgers were cooked to medium/medium well I topped them with slices of colby jack cheese and then the bacon that I had warming on the warming rack.

Once in the house, I topped mine (pictured) with zesty dill stackers, red onion slices, big slice of tomato, lettuce, ketchup and spicy mustard. 'Twas tasty! I was going to heat up some KC Masterpiece beans and serve it with all with plain old potato chips but I just did the burger only and was perfectly happy!

Thanks for looking, have a wonderful day!

I couldn't agree more. That's what lead me to buying the flat top. I love a good charcoal grilled burger but that flat top burger is nice too, as is a gas flame broiled burger. The drippings hit that "flavor bar" below and it does make for a good burger and the smoke and smell from it makes the neighbors hungry :P
