Little butt
« Reply #-1 on: October 28, 2014, 11:00:20 PM »
A couple of weeks ago I did 100 lbs of pork butts for Wendys oldest daughters wedding. I was a bit surprised when Wendy asked for pulled pork for supper this morning. Off to Goodwins market I go (down by the Lake) and found a small pork butt.

Rubbed it with wooster and Texas BBQ Rub Original and onto the PBC. No time for an offset..darn near noon time. I put in the grate (just in case)

Wrapped it in foil after the 3 hour mark. Added some Colorado Kool-aid before I rapped it up.

After 2 more hours it is all ready

Pulled real easy

Time to clear this plate

Man that looks good. I've only done one pork butt so far on the PBC, due for another one real soon. When I did mine I never crutched it, just moved it to the grate at 165 and took it off at 203, best pulled pork I've ever had.

Lookin' good, Smoke.

Just curious, about how small was the butt?

I will be on the lookout.  That's a nice size for a small gathering, plus, the cooktime is more reasonable.
