The dates for this year's BBQ on the River in Paducah KY are 9/22-9/24. It may seem a little early to begin making plans but I have already heard from 3 different couples who have already made hotel reservations for this year's event.
Come one, come all. More details to come later.

When I called the other day, Fox Briar Inn was totally booked during the BBQ on the River. I ended up researching where else to stay. With Larry's assistance we are now staying at the new, soon to be completed, 1857 Hotel. This a about a block from our favorite watering hole. Tee and Mrs. Tee will be staying there also.

For those going to Paducah, we now have a Penzey's Store in Dallas. As we get closer if you need something from there I will happily pick it up and bring it or other Texas items anyone needs.

For those of you who are signed up and staying within the boundaries of the Festival, Fox Briar Inn and 1857 Hotel, please PM me your cell phone contact info and when you will be arriving. I will need to obtain parking passes for you and direct you into the festival. I already have most of your cell phone contact info but we have some new folks coming. That is awesome!
Even if I have your contact info please let me know when you will be arriving. I can already smell the hickory smoke.

Extended weather forecast at this point is for temperatures to be around 90 during the day, lows around 70. 30% chance of rain on Saturday. I'll update the forecast we get closer to the dates.

We leave Tuesday morning for a detour through Hamilton Missouri to spend the day at the 11 quilt shops in town. Then on to Paducah Thursday morning.

I just heard from the folks over at Kirchhoff's bakery, a local 5th generation bakery situated in downtown Paducah in the heart pf the Festival. They are going to send some goodies our way.
Heard from the organizers of the event that they may send the media over to do a story on the group coming in from 7 states.

Latest weather forecast calls for the highs to be around 90. Lows will be in the 60's. With the festival being located on the TN & OH rivers, downtown will be cool in the evening.
