Title: Tentative Food Schedule for the 2016 Ohio Gathering
Post by: Old Dave on April 27, 2016, 05:14:09 AM
Dave & Jan and their good friends Mike & Judy Zinkan will team up for this event and plan to bring the following treats to the 2016 Ohio Gathering.

Thursday June 2nd.

Plan to cook an 8 pound Cumberland Gap Boneless Ham on the Cobb Grill in the rotisserie setup. Along with some ham and cheese sandwiches for the Thursday evening meal, this will give us some breakfast meat for the balance of the weekend for the folks that do not plan to eat breakfast out at one of the great eating places near the event.

Friday June 3rd.

Plan to cook about a 4-5 pound Tex-Mex Meatloaf on the Weber Jumbo Joe kettle.

Will also do some Pig Shots on the Davy Crockett Pellet Grill.

Will do a plate of my “tamed down” Breaded Hot Wings on the Davy Crockett Grill.

The girls will also make up a big pan of Broccoli and Bacon Salad. This is a “killer” salad.

Saturday June 4th

Plan to cook a Brisket over a pan of Rick Salmon’s Pit Beans in the Davy Crockett Grill.

The girls will make up both a Fresh Fruit Tray and some kind of Vegetable Tray.

Sunday June 5th

We will be leaving just after the big breakfast and hope to have some of the Ham leftover and maybe some of the Fruit Tray left for this morning meal.

Hey Dave..looks wonderful..Maci & I will be there Thursday afternoon..not sure about Donna yet..she had something come up, like a free 1st class trip to Oregon. May be just the baby and I, we can do this. I'll be making sausage gravy and biscuits, and bacon donuts and not sure what else..I definately wanna see your rotisserie setup. AND pig shots. I might make some kind of dessert, just in case. Will be helping Smokin Don with some cooking too. Not sure what he has in mind yet. .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

As always, the food looks fantastic.  I can't wait.  I still haven't decided what to bring.  I am leaning toward making some mini-cheesecakes.  Any dessert suggestions?

Hello Ahron,

Welcome back to the forum...we sure missed you.

I put up a post on that ham a few weeks ago and you can find it here:

You will still need the Honey Sriracha Garlic Sauce and this is it:

1/2 cup honey
2 TBL packed brown sugar
2 TBL Sriracha Sauce
1 Clove of garlic finely chopped

In a small bowl, stir together all the ingredients. Brush over the ham the last 45 minutes of baking.

Looks good Dave!

Since you are doing the ham this year, I'll call dibs on doing some ribs.

I will help with the ribs if you don't mind.. As well with the help of Cliff I will be making Jerk Chicken Poutine. You should have seen the cashiers face when I checked out with 12 cans of Poutine gravy. Leaving early tomorrow hoping to arrive around noon.
