Lunch With Hub
« Reply #-1 on: November 14, 2014, 05:39:48 PM »
Today several of Gordon’s local BBQ friends took Gordon to lunch at J.D.’s Smokehouse.  The occasion was to celebrate him being awarded his Ph. B. at the Jack last month.  Tim was unable to join us due to a last minute emergency that required him to be out of town today.  He did, however, call in during lunch and wish Gordon well.

Tim and I talked about giving Hub something meaningful to commemorate his achievement.  We decided on a bottle of Jack, suitably inscribed, as the LTBBQ gift to him.

The man of the hour, Gordon Hubbell.

Here we have the “motley crew”; from left to right Big Dawg (Bill DiPietro), Hub (Gordon Hubbell, aka “Doc”), Tomluck (Tommy Luckadoo), and ACW3 (Art Wiesemann).

I will say that in all the time I have known Gordon, he was as close to speechless as I have ever seen him when I presented him with our gift.

We had a great time over lunch with Gordon telling us what he had to go through before being awarded his Ph. B.

Congratulations, again, Gordon!!

Well done.  Well done.  One of the best pictures I've seen of Tim.  Dee
