Another BBQ on the River is in the books!
« Reply #-1 on: September 25, 2016, 11:45:36 AM »
All of our group are on the road making their way back home.  I pray for everyone's safe return.  To those who attended, thank you so much. Your attendance honors Jan and me.  A special thank you to 1st Sergeant Jamie Newman for coming up from Fort Campbell to be with us Saturday night.  Thank you to everyone for all of the many many goodies, Rubs, jerky, smoked pumpkin seeds, cinnamon pickles and Maple Bourbon Bacon marmalade that you brought and shared with everyone.

I'm sure someone will come along later and post some pics.

We'll do it all again next year!

Had another great time in Kentuckey thanks to Larry and Jan.  Met Lumpy after years of talking with him on another forum and met Tee's wife (yes he is really  married  ;).    I was getting to think he just found a picture and said this is the other half :D    Seen Old friends  and made new ones just the best time and I didn't even cook

I pray all return home safe

To Jan and Larry, our many thanks for your hospitality. To our many friends old and new it was great to see everyone and spend three days catching up in person. The food was fantastic whether from the vendor's, Shandies kitchen and especially that which was brought to share at the table. We made it back to home base in Texas about an hour ago and we're already talking about next year.

We took smoked pumpkin seeds, rubs and Kimmie's (soon to be famous)  cinnamon pickles for folks.   I hope everyone had as much fun as Kimmie and I did.

We had a great time!

Tommy, we will be opening the pickles up tonight...   We were snacking on the (awesome) pumpkin seeds while watching the Cardinals blow the (horrible) game last night.   >:(

We arrived home about an hour ago.  Had to cut part of our trip short.  I picked up a sinus infection a few days ago and it has been hammering me.

We had a great time for the second year in a row.  Thank you Larry and Jan for your wonderful hospitality.

Great to see everyone again. Good time.

And the cinnamon pickles are going to get apple smoke.

Larry & Jan

Thanks again for your warm hospitality and having us all around for this event. Having the sidewalk for us is very nice for homebase.

Thank You.
