What them folks eat - too many food pics...
« Reply #-1 on: October 01, 2016, 01:32:58 AM »
... mostly from our recent trip to Portugal

Seafood soup

Roast lamb

Pork medallions

Sea bass

Prawns and rice

Swordfish

Mango, strawberry, & ice cream dessert

Foie gras salad (unreal)

Cataplana (Portuguese version of cioppino)

Grilled prawns with cheese

Mussel tapa

Shrimp & avocado

Pizzas

Seafood appetizer platter

Renaissance fair street food, starting with pork shoulders

More tapas

...and at High West Distillery in Park City, Utah, a great cheese and meat tray

... and, from Bandanna's Grill (also in Park City), The Avalanche - very possibly the best biscuits and (not quite Pam's) gravy breakfast since the Cajun Breakfast Biscuit at Commerce Restaurant in New Orleans

That's all folks. If you're hungry, my work here is done.

How could you think I'd eat any turtle? Oh you meant "... all you did was eat, Turtle." I didn't but I had to do something between drinks.

I take it you took your "stretchy pants" on this trip!!  What a cornucopia of meals!!  Must have been a great trip, once you got out of the restaurants and bars that is.

WOW!!!   Paul, you ate very well, sir!

It ALL looks amazing, but that Sea Bass dish caught my attention!  What was the sauce sauce with it? I'm gonna guess a  a Beurre Blanc?

Did you partake in the local wines, beers and distilled spirits?

I make it a rule never to get on a scale for at least a week after I get home from a trip.

...that Sea Bass dish caught my attention!  What was the sauce sauce with it? I'm gonna guess a  a Beurre Blanc?
I think so - it was SWMBO's entree and I don't remember (I had the pork medallions). That dinner was in a converted old (medieval) jail building and was one of the best of the trip.

Did you partake in the local wines, beers and distilled spirits?
Now that was a silly question. We "sampled" a host of local wines (mostly pretty young), port wines, beer, and brandy. Mostly more "interesting" than addictive but not bad.
