Outdoor Cooking in Bulgaria and Hungary
« Reply #-1 on: November 16, 2013, 10:18:51 AM »
I saw a number of outdoor cooking setups/kitchens while on my trip through Eastern Europe.  The first one is from Arbanassi, Bulgaria.  An outdoor rotisserie powered by a water wheel.

The next series of photos are from a ranch (Bodor Major) in Hungary.  Among other things they raise lipizzaner stallions.  Their outdoor kitchen is quite extensive.  The ranch can be used for large parties/weddings.

One of two wood fired cooking pots.

Raking the coals prior to baking bread.

My wife kneading bread dough.  The only time anyone will ever see this!!

Bread ready to be put into the oven.  The bread was placed on some large cabbage leaves so the bottom didn’t burn.

Stirring a large pot of Hungarian Goulash.

Outdoor grill.

Another pot of Hungarian Goulash getting ready.

The food was really good, especially the bread.  Anything cooked like this has to be good.
