Off To France
« Reply #-1 on: March 30, 2012, 12:17:12 PM »
We have started to pack for our trip to Paris and a river cruise to Normandy.  I am looking forward to this for several reasons.  Yes, wine is involved!  Cheese, also.  The scenery and the trip to Normandy are worth the trip alone.  I will be checking out the food with thoughts of how to try some of their dishes on my MAK after I return.  Oh, the sacrifices we make in the name of cooking.  Hopefully I will have a few pictures of some scenery and a lot of food when we return.

Sounds like a great trip. I have always wanted to visit the memorial cemetary at Normandy.

ACW3, Paris is a beautiful city and have a great time; however, keep your hand on your wallet and your wife's purse in Paris. I didn't and learned the hard way.... Even after I read all the signs posted about pick pockets at Notre Dame cathedral.

Try to find "Crevettes a L'ail"  (prawns with chili & garlic butter).

It's delicious!

That sounds delicious!  I'll keep my eyes open for that on a menu.
