savor and Sous Vide Chuckie
« Reply #-1 on: December 19, 2014, 05:02:48 PM »
I vac sealed a 2.6# chuckie and SV'd at 135º for 50 hours..just came out a lil while ago so I browned it on the stove on my CI griddle. It's perfect. Tender and cuts like butter, almost like a prime rib and flavorful with the salt, pepper, gahhlick and Savor. I checked the Anova with my pink thermapen and the temp never varied from 135 the entire time.
it's too cold today to do it outside so faked it inside.
New camera and having problems posting the pics, could be the resolution, so here we go.

How do I change resolution? my file is too large..using a Sony Cybershot DSC710..16mp.

Tee..the flavor was great..it was the same through out the chuckie and not over whelming..I think I hit it just right..only added a lil salt at the end..I knew it would be..glad I picked some up at the gathering..do you sell it in larger amounts?  .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

Yep....even have a 5 gal. bucket size for restaurants. 8)....

We do a "quart size" skier as well. It is about 5 - 6 regular bottles worth. It is $18.95.

Pam, that roast looks fabulous.

Cuts of meat like a chuck roast is where I see the greatest value in sous-vide cooking. It's able to turn a cheaper tough cut of meat into something tender without drying it out.
