Traeger Timberline
« Reply #-1 on: April 08, 2017, 01:59:22 PM »
Saw the Timberline at my local Ace this morning. Its very interesting heavy built double wall with built in downdraft. Three levels of cooking, couldn't figure where the grease goes and when I started taking apart I was asked to stop. Heavy duty gasket on the lid. Not sure how wifi will work and it is expensive

Just wanted to take the drip tray out to see were the grease goes, there's no bucket or anything to catch the grease that I saw on the outside. So where does it go? When I asked after I was given "the look" I didn't get a response. I,ll be back,  :D

Should have told them they just lost a sale because as far as you know the grease just disappears or drains onto the ground!  ;D

I think Traeger should stay in its Lane. Going up market requires a serious commitment to quality and consistency.

It sure is different from anything else, I think the grease comes  forward the tray appears to tilt toward the front of the grill. Everyone is right for the price you can get a lot more that is proven to work. I still like lookin though.

Which they will never do!!  Good observation Pappy.  Traeger might have gotten it started but they have been pushed to the side of the road by most offerings these days............

I agree with skidog. I get that it's an expensive grill however it is out on the sales floor on display so that potential buyers can have a look at it. Part of that buying process is checking out all the features. If that particular Ace Hardware wants to sell this grill they need to realize customers are going to go hands on a bit when looking at it.
