Rec Tec RT300
« Reply #-1 on: April 30, 2017, 06:52:22 PM »
Hi my friends

Been a while since I have posted.  New job, new house in a new city.  Still making sausage but not as much as I used to do.  I have had my eye on the Rec Tec Mini for over 2 years and today Momma treated me to a Rec Tec RT 300 as an early Birthday present.  The order was placed today so hopefully I will have it for a cook by next weekend.  I am on cloud #9 and can't wait to get it delivered.  Been doing all my grilling on the electric Weber Q1400 and the food comes out great but no wood or charcoal flavor.  Never used a pellet popper before but have 2 years of research under my belt.  Yes, I would have loved to have had a Mac.  I would also loved to have the Rec Tec 680.  But with just me and the wife at home I thought the mini would be the best choice for size and money.  I no longer have to do big cooks so having a popper that will hold a whole hog is not on my laundry list.  Still have my big boy converted bread proofer turned smoker that I use for my sausage.  Still have the Bradley that I have not used in over a year.  I have worn out youtube watching videos of pellet poppers and I personally want to thank Tom AKA tomcreate1 for all of the Rec Tec RT 30 videos that he has uploaded.  That's about all I got to say about that  :D

Enough ain't enough and too much is just about right.
