Recommendations ? ? ?
« Reply #-1 on: May 02, 2017, 06:45:12 PM »
This year for my birthday (the big six-oh) my daughters decided to take on little BBQ getaway.  They have a cabin rented for all of us for four days later this month up near New London, NC on Badin Lake.

So, my NC BBQ Brothers, I'm looking for any recommendations of places in that general area.  Any places come to mind that I just gotta try?  More importantly, any places to avoid ?!?!?!

Thanks in advance ! ! !

I used to do quite a bit of fishing & camping on Baden lake when I lived in NC.  That's a gorgeous area there in the Uwharrie Mountains.

I don't have a BBQ recommendation, but do watch out for snakes.  That area is known for Timber Rattlers!  ???

Actually, Pam, I don't mind the cooking, it's the loading, unloading, loading again, unloading again of all of the equipment that would be a real PITA ! ! !

We will also take your advice.  Apparently, this is a big year for snakes.
