Liberty Station San Diego USS Recruit

In San Diego at Liberty Station USS Recruit was used for training during WW2 and up to the 80's. It's the only commissioned ship never to be in water the recruits referred to her as the USS NeverSail.

Brings back memories  8)  When I was in the NAVY (1969 to 1978) I was stationed across the street at the Sonar School and saw the ship almost daily ... :thumbup:
