Smash Burgers Again?
« Reply #-1 on: July 30, 2017, 07:23:07 PM »
Friday night we had 5 inches of rain. Saturday was just raining off and on all day. We were supposed to be wet for 4 days. But all of a sudden the forecast changed! Today was awesome!

We decided early that we would have smash burgers on the GrillGrates again. Last time we had 2 patties per sandwich. I also had tomatoes, lettuce, mayo, pickles, onions, cheese, salt, and pepper. This time we both had 1 patty and we both had pickles, mustard, and fried onions.

What a perfect day to cook and eat outside. Here is the smash burger:

And here is the backyard dining room:

I hope that Margo lets me cook something else someday! LOL

Looks like paradise.....great burger too!
What part of the world are you in?  Sounds like you had the same weather we had here in Alabama!

I agree.
Spend the day in the pool & then have a nice burger.
Unfortunately, It has been so hot here the last month that my pool is like bath water.

I usually drain mine down a little and refill it with cold water. I can not stand the bath like water!

Thanks. Funny that it took 2 hours to eat a burger!

But there was a little entertainment. 3 kayak cowboys bass fishing. LOL

Burger looks really tasty..  Your backyard is gorgeous.  What body of water is that behind the pool.  Man your yard looks good.  Is that a turkey on the lawn?

Great idea, except because of the heat, between watering the landscaping & topping off the pool, last months water bill quadrupled!
So I'm letting the evaporation lower the level enough to add some cold water to the pool.

I leave the cover off at night & that helps, but lately even the nighttime lows are not enough to cool it down.
I'm usually in the pool every day from mid April through early October, but when the water is hot I just can't do it.

No wild animals in that photo. Goose decoy and a heron decoy.

The water is Chipmans Pond. A 52 acre state maintained and stocked pond. They stock it mostly with bass.

No water bill here. We are out in the country. Everyone has a well.
