Maple Bourbon Thick Cut Porkies
« Reply #-1 on: August 06, 2017, 11:49:57 AM »
I didn't know where to post this as it was the result of two of my grill children. I bought some really nice thick cut boneless pork chops from Kroger and seasoned them with Simply Marvelous "Cherry" rub and my wife put them on the Traeger to get a hint of smoke before finishing them on the Weber. My son made up a glaze using bourbon, real maple syrup, spicy brown mustard, honey and some other goodies. I saw him slinging all kinds of stuff in that pot. He also made up a grilled peach & jalapeƱo salsa/relish that put it over the top! My wife also grilled the corn on cool side of the weber as well as some grilled peaches for desert even though I ate mine along with the meal. They were topped with cinnamon butter and dark brown sugar. My son ate his with a scoop of English toffee ice cream on top for dessert. No pictures were gotten of this unfortunately :( We also had a nice salad that I made up with hearts of romaine lettuce, homemade croutons that I made from Texas toast (these are GOOD!), homemade dressing that is a clone of Outback's Tangy Tomato. Sliced cucumber, roma tomatoes, green pepper, red onion and a cheese blend. Again, no pictures of this as no one cares about salad but I did snap a pic of the croutons, lol :P

Served it up with cast iron skillet potatoes and onions. Here's the few pictures that were taken though, so you're not left totally empty handed!
