The New Matador cooker/flat top/fryer     Now if it was pellet fired I'd say OK,  but looks just like cookers already on the market and why buy this when I can buy other cookers that will do the same thing?   

I think they are not paying attention to the consumers.  I mean they dropped the RT300 for a BullsEye round grill which didn't make sense to me, although I do like the idea of a pellet kettel grill

What a shame.....

Apparently they have lost their focus - and now only want to offer "me too" products - rather than innovate more in the spirit of what made them successful. I like Rec Tec, and the folks that run it. But I see this as back-to-back errors.

Tommy, you are so correct, although I believe they are playing to a different market with the latest additions and the dropping of the RT300 didn't make much sense to me either although I hear rumors that it will return modified with wifi.  They did a live demo of the Matador yesterday on face book the oil was overheated and actually started on fire!  They did a nice recovery and the went one.

Not even on the site yet and no cost yet stated.

I think this is a bad move on their part but we'll just have to wait and see.   Like the Bullseye grill they are trying but I just think they are not paying attention  to the market.   Like I said if it were different in some way like pellet fired and options like a flat top and a WOK or even a box to smoke food in.

 Make it the best portable/camping cooker out there then I would understand.  but not what I see so far, really sad.

Rec Tec has lost focus. The RT-680 is a winner and they should expand their pellet product line. The should spend their time looking into a direct grilling option on the RT-680 instead of copying products already proven and on the market.

I have a pellet burner, I have wok, I have a large flat pan with sides,  I have an IDEA!!    (one of those hold my beer moments)

I know..I couldn't even get a size on it from them. I do have a 20 1/2" x 4" deep skillet that I use to cook over an open fire with..don't think I need it. .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.
