Title: Smoked GB & smoked Gruyere sliders
Post by: Roget on October 16, 2017, 01:45:05 PM
I smoked 1 1/2 lbs. of ground beef & 1 lb. of Gruyere cheese yesterday.

I used the GB and half of the Gruyere to make sliders.

I caramelized a sliced onion & mixed it with the cooked GB. I added 2 teaspoon beef base & 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce,
& then spread it on the bottoms of 16 Hawaiian rolls.
I topped it with half the cheese and put the tops on.
I then basted the tops of the rolls with a mixture of melted butter, 1 teaspoon beef base & 1 teaspoon "wooster" sauce, along with a sprinkling
of both garlic & onion powder, & seseme seeds.

I baked these in a 350° oven for 15 minutes

These were good, but if doing it again I would use regular slider buns instead of the Hawaiian rolls.
They were just a tad sweet for me. (V loved them)

I may make another batch tonight for the Colt's game.
