Happy Birthday to Lost Arrow. John, hope that you had a great day. I'll see you in a couple of weeks and we can celebrate this milestone properly in NOLA...and we can let Turtle and George tag along if they can keep up with us young guns.

... yet another birthday mysteriously added to his résumé. He says he wasn't hiding but it sort of snuck up on him anyway.

He is now 70 - likely past the midpoint of his longevity. On the other hand, he now joins those of us who wonder how we ever got this far to begin with.

Welcome to the LTBBQ "grown-ups" club, John. We're glad to have you (even though you're still a bit wet behind the ears).

What he said.

If, if, if, . . . fortunately, I don't have the space for one in the camperhood.

General Discussion / Re: What's Cookin' for Easter 2024?

We had a Seder supper at our church on Wednesday and nothing fancy planned for Easter.  I may grill a steak and some veggies. Maybe roast a chicken with root veggies. No plans made yet and it is just my wife and I.

General Discussion / What's Cookin' for Easter 2024?
« Last post by pmillen on March 29, 2024, 12:38:06 PM »
Younger members of my relatively new extended family are fussy eaters and their parents cater to it.  As a result I've been charged with grilling pork chops.  I bought a pork loin and will cut two-inch boneless chops from it, brine them and two-zone grill them in my kamado.  It would be easier to grill them on the PK but it won't hold them all.  Others are making the sides.

So my Easter meal isn't traditional.  What are you cooking?

IF I needed a new grill, I would definitely look at this one.  Since I have a Mac 2 Star, this will probably won't happen any time soon.

Yeah, me, too.  My MAK 2-Star will outlast me.  My grandchildren will be cooking on it.
