Go ahead and emasculate me.....I got my big boy pants on  :'(

6 eggs
1/2 red onion, diced
8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
3/4 cup grated Gruyère cheese
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 tsp cayenne
1/4 tsp grated nutmeg
Salt to taste
ground black pepper
1/2 pound bacon (finely chopped)
1/2 pound of sausage links, chopped
chives, chopped

Cook the onions, bacon, mushrooms, and sausage in some butter until the bacon is how you like it cooked.  Set aside to cool

Whisk together remaining ingredients, and add the cooled meat and veg mixture to the egg mixture.

Pour into a tart pan with a store bought crust, or make your own.  I made my own using this recipe.  http://www.yummly.com/recipe/Cook_s-Illustrated-Foolproof-Pie-Crust-1035354?columns=5&position=1%2F40

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until set.

Pic to follow. :P

Pappy, if you can eat quiche, I can eat quiche. And this sounds like an excellent one! Might be Easter breakfast...  :P :P

Thanks for the recipe!

Pappy, you can keep your big boy pants, 'cause there's NOTHING wrong with that right there!

Now, can you dish me up a slice of that incredible looking quiche please?

I would never do that...we are both happily married  :D :D

We used to serve quiche lorraine at the Broadway back in the day. I would eat it all the time  :)

Very manly food in my opinion -- especially if served with some extra bacon on the side and a bottle of brew  ::)
