Recipe sounds good and I will have to try it.  I have made a version from unknown sources, maybe Dee,  called Hubba Bubba, and it is good too, and kids like it.

Hubba Bubba

1    cup ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup Dr. Pepper
1/4 cup honey
2 tbl. worcestershire
1/2 tbl. soy sauce
1/2 tbl. garlic powder
1/2 tbl. onion powder
1/4 tbl. cayenne pepper or to taste
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
1 tsp. liquid smoke

Combine and simmer until mixture is smooth for 5 to 10 minutes

Dr Pepper sauce sounds very good Smoke! Thanks!
I wish that I could get my hands on some of the Dr Pepper that was around when we were kids.Their recipe changed to a much much sweeter soda.

10.5 on the Bradley forum has a recipe for "bulldog" bbq sauce that also uses Dr pepper. It is the bomb! I have to always make two double batches when I make it, one with no cayenne for Mrs TF and one with double cayenne for me and anyone else who likes some kick.

I know this is an old recipe, but for those that are new - bumping this awesome recipe up.  I was looking something for the cookout at work today and this hit the spot.  My wife was PISSED that I was going to take the whole batch to work.  Lucky for me, I made 2 up at one time.

One note, I actually thought it could use some more heat but did not mess with it this time.  Next time though, I think I will double the amount called for....

I'm guessing you could probably use the same recipe say if you wanted to do a root beer sauce or coke? Just swap out the soda for a different flavor profile?

If it's like Hubba Bubba sauce then I'm in.  Made some for a church cookout out a few years back and they went nuts over it.

Thought they were gonna put it in a cup with ice and drink it  ;)
