Redfish Sunday
« Reply #-1 on: October 25, 2015, 10:41:21 PM »
This morning a friend and I took my brother in law fishing in the Delta. The temp was perfect around 70 and we got out and on our spot before sunrise and even with the clouds we got a beautiful light show for 30 minutes or so.
Just after the sun peaked through Philp tied up with a nice speckle trout. After a few more minutes
Bam I hooked a nice red.
Now Marc (the brother n law) has never caught a redfish but that's changed now. 10 minutes after mine he was fighting one of his own... Nothing quite like hearing that drag scream and feeling the pull of a Red.
We filleted them with the scales on and slow cooked over charcoal and seasoned with redfish magic, garlic powder and a little melted butter...
All in all a great Sunday!
