Smoked salmon on the gasser
« Reply #-1 on: January 31, 2016, 04:25:42 PM »
Used my Amaz-N Tube in the gas grill for the first time. Dusted a skinless salmon filet with Penzies Mural of Flavor and put in grill for 1 hour with tube going. Later move tube to upper rack and turned left side burner on to cook salmon via indirect heat.

The Tube worked like a champ. Kept going to the end. Salmon had a light wood fire flavor rather than a heavy smoke.  Actually perfect for this meal.

Added some pan fried potatoes that were coated with EVO and a light coating mixture of corn masa flour and cornstarch before going into the skillets. Then some steamed broccoli with a slice of cheddar melted on top.

A great looking meal MB!!! I have the same Weber gasser and love it. Been a while since I did salmon, I like to do it on a cedar plank, I don't do the char but think the cedar plank keeps the moister in the salmon. Don

Greatest thing about this grill (at least for me)...my wife picked it up from a co-worker for $50.
The indirect heat help keep the char off the salmon and kept it very moist
