Chocolate covered bacon
« Reply #-1 on: February 28, 2016, 06:20:10 PM »
Made some chocolate covered bacon last week with my beautiful daughter at her request :)

Oven baked bacon...

Temper the chocolate...

Then coat with said chocolate. My daughter's favorite part...

Let it set in the fridge for a few hours then dessert is served!

I have dipped Super Pig bacon in dark chocolate quite q few times.  I even coated some pork burnt ends in dark chocolate.  This turn out to be very popular with quite a few people.  I may have to make some more for later in the year.

I like your daughter's good taste.  Two thumbs up for her!!

Art introduced me to this heroin several years ago at the BBQ contest in Shelby when he brought me a sample.  Wish he'd never done that.  Since then I've been making huge batches of it every year as a special treat for inmates at our local prison where I'm part of a teaching crew.  If they graduate, they get pig candy!  Amazing motivator  ;D
