For some reason this sounds strange to me, why mess with a perfect thing like an oyster? I would sure give it a try though, might be delicious.

Okay, I lived on the Chesapeake for 7 years.  I've seen where oysters are raised.  I don't see how you're going to sprinkle some smoked salt around and expect it to stay where you want it unless you used a big block of it.  Then you'd risk changing the local salinity, which I do not think would be a good thing.

Not sayin' it can't happen. Just sayin' I don't see it.

I love raw oysters!

I would rather just use a little smoked salt on them while eating instead :P
