Highonsmoke's Peach Dump Cake
« Reply #-1 on: April 08, 2016, 04:46:48 PM »
Apr 08 2016

We have been busy getting our daughter ready for her move to Bowling Green. We got the truck loaded and ready for the trip up tomorrow. Our son and wife and my wife are going up tomorrow; me and the dog will stay home. I am no help since I can’t lift; I am a good boss but the wife is better!

I am not cooking until after the move but I did find time to make a dessert yesterday. I did Mike’s, highonsmoke, peach dump cake. I have made one with caramel syrup but his looked good so thought I would give it a try. I would have liked the nuts, pecans or walnuts but no one else likes them so I omitted them.

I did add some cream cheese I had to use. I used 4 oz. and poured most of the peach juice over and mixed well. I poured it over the peaches before adding the cake mix, brown sugar and butter. I sprinkled some cinnamon on top. I did it at 350 deg. for 55 minutes. I would say it doesn’t make the prettiest presentation but the taste makes up for that. It is best IMO served with some vanilla ice cream!

It looks really yummy, Don!

I love doing dump cakes in a cast iron dutch oven over a bed of hot coals.  We should do one at the Gathering.
