Radio Review of my new Cookbook
« Reply #-1 on: May 09, 2016, 06:38:35 PM »
I just heard from my publicist that my cookbook is going to be reviewed on the radio broadcasting to East Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, and Western North Carolina. Here's the info ...

Quick update for now--the WKPT Radio Network (an ABC / ESPN News affiliate) broadcasting to East Tennessee, Southwest Virginia, and Western North Carolina via AM 1400, AM 1490, AM 1590, FM 94.3, FM 97.7, and FM 97.9, will be sharing the book with their listeners later this month!

They are working on their “New book releases for May 2016” segment and planning a review of “The Wood Pellet Smoker and Grill Cookbook: Recipes and Techniques for the Most Flavorful and Delicious Barbecue”. They're planning the segment for Tuesday, May 24th @ 10:04 AM. I mailed them 4 copies that they'll also give away to their listeners during the review.

I asked if they stream online, and unfortunately they don't. But by chance you know anyone in TN, thought you could tell them to tune in!

Wish I was back East - I'd love to listen in. For all you LTBBQ members that live within range of those stations here's a chance to maybe pickup a free cookbook. Please let me know if you listened and what you thought of the broadcast and the book ... Thanks ... Smoker Pete

Congratulations!

I obviously won't be able to listen in from Hawaii but I'm guessing tee should be able to pick it up with his aluminum foil-covered strainer helmet and pipe it to his iPhone to record it for download.

Already tuning my "alum-yum" pork pie and have up-fit with metal clothes hangars....

I HIGHLY recommend this book. And - with all due respect to the author and friend  ;D....My recommendation has nothing to do with him being a member here. It is truly a fine cookbook for folks of all levels of experience. The way it is played out, the use of photos, and the "recipe card" style that the recipes are displayed - makes it very easy to follow. And - a LOT of really great recipes too!

I checked out WKPT 1400 - ESPN Tri Cities website http://www.espntricities.com/ and found over the last 2 days that I can listen to their broadcast live over the internet. At the top right hand side of their site you can click on their "Listen Live" link

On my browser another window opens (see below) and upon clicking on the arrow I am able to listen to their programming live. Of course their times are all Eastern Daylight Time. Living in California I just have to adjust to PDT.

I am hoping that this means anyone should be able to listen to the review of my cookbook live at 10:04 am EDT (adjust for your time zone) on May 24th. Time will tell ...   8)

Thank you so much everyone! The book was a journey of love ...

Actually a lot of my friends and members from LTBBQ had a hand in this book cause you helped immensely in the development of my smoking/cooking techniques and passion for cooking over the years.
