I had a sample today at Trader Joes of their Wasabi Mayo Cabbage slaw

It was good enough for me to buy the Wasabi Mayo & their Red & green cabbage  with orange carrots mix.

Just season to taste & it has a little bite but not too much. I would give it 3.75 stars...worth trying for a quick & simple slaw.


They served it on a cracker with the store P. pork. I think it would be great with all P. pork/chicken.  I was not the only one saying it tasted good.

In fact the other day I posted on here about how I can't find a good slaw....well this is not normal slaw but it was good LOL

if you want to make your own slaw, just add some horseradish..it will kick it up, I use a heaping tablespoon. The horseradish mimicks the wasabi.  just sayin     .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

I agree Pam in fact I want to try it both ways    I love horseradish but I hated it as a kid.

Would it be possible to create us a recipe for this? It sounds great. - Heck..in N.C. - some people would it it on a hot dog! NOT ME...But then, I would not slam mashed potatoes down on a steak either....

I guess it would be better homemade but this CT. Yankee thinks it is good from the jar with fresh greens........

Just trying to make sure that we can find the product(s) that you reference....Was it a Mayo - with Wasabi in it - and then a separate package of the veggies? Was it a kit? Or - did you make this yourself?

Educate us on what you did so that we can repeat this - and thank you for the idea!

it was so simple even I could do it ......just mix it with a large spoon or a small spoon depending on taste & let it sit if you can . I am going to make my own cabbage slaw after the holiday as the bag is good but not as fresh as your own can be.

Love Trader Joes (full disclosure: I worked there part time for about a year several years back) Fun foodstuffs...always something new to try. 

And like with this slaw recipe (which I will be trying very soon btw, thanks!), they always have something happening in the demo area (usually limited to about three ingredients).
