Saved by the peppers
« Reply #-1 on: June 30, 2016, 06:40:55 PM »
I was seriously considering making mreservices' Bacon Wrapped Smoked Burnt Ends but decided to wait until SWMBO is out of town. It’s not that I’m a coward (although I am); it just seemed like a battle not worth instigating (or even showing up for).

So… I took my frozen smoked brisket point and added it to the requisite peppers, onions, garlic, stout, etc. and threw it in a Dutch oven for a couple of hours at 350o. Chunked instead of shredded so I can call it pot roast for SWMBO – excellent as is or for sandwiches or burritos.

It was a good call (and gave me an excuse to go brisket shopping next week).
Everyone is entitled to my opinion

Righteous looking cook, Turtle.  I'll bet it tastes every bit as good as it looks, too.
